According to local media, the 13% surcharge imposed upon almost 3,000 items in the Dominican Republic has been removed. As a result, products such as clothing, textiles, furniture and footwear should fall in price by around 15-16%. However, the government will leave price revaluation to the discretion of local businesses, importers and manufacturers.
