According to figures released by the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh, the country’s total exports rose by 20.17% to $8,365 million during the period July 2005 to April 2006.

Exports of leather rose 15.35% to $206 million, whilst footwear exports increased to $206 million 14% to $80 million.
