Provider of high performance structural component solutions for the global footwear industry Texon International has introduced a premium quality cellulose material engineered to provide structural support to shoes.

Texon Reinforcer is a cellulose board that can be used either as a stiff insole or inserted between the outsole and insole to ‘reinforce’ the insole where additional rigidity is required, to prevent shoes from collapsing or distorting while they are being worn.

Made from compressed cellulose fibres filled with synthetic resins, it is said to be hardwearing and durable. In addition, the product is mouldable and easier to bond and adhere, maintaining the curvature of the sole and providing structural support to the shoes.
