The Footwear Chamber of Argentina (CIC) celebrated its 90th anniversary recently with a reunion that brought together national and local authorities, directors of the leather sector chambers, and special guests. Various speeches at the event highlighted the organisation’s role in the development and recovery of the local shoe industry and in defending the sector.  

Secretary of Industry Miguel Peirano said that the Chamber carried out serious work to develop the industry. He also pointed out that its work has contributed to the reindustrialisation of the country and to the generation of industrial policies. "We want Argentina to be recognised as shoe producer by the international market," he added.
