According to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), the third Western China Shoes Industry Fair (held on May 18-20) was a great success. Held in Bishan, which was recently named “City of Shoes in Western China”, foreign companies signed 18 cooperative programmes with Bishan companies worth a total investment of Yuan 923 million ($117 million).

The fair attracted many more participants and orders from other countries than previous shows and a number of trading companies including Paramont, which attended the fair for the first time, agreed to place further orders with local companies.
