According to a spokesperson from the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), the third Western China Shoes Industry Fair, held in Bishan, Chongqing from May 18-20, attracted a large number of participants from China and abroad.

Most of the well known domestic brands including Senda, Doublestar and Aokang participated at the event as well as a number of trading companies such as Paramont that attended for the first time.

During the fair, a leather shoe forum was held to discuss the duties imposed on Chinese footwear. Delegates from China’s Ministry of Commerce, officials from the EU Footwear Association and company representatives attended the event.
