According to the Arab Brazilian Camber of Commerce (ANBA), China became the second main Brazilian supplier of shoes in April, overtaking Argentina.

In April, Brazilian imports of Chinese footwear grew 79% compared with the same month in 2005, reaching $617 million. China provided 9.2% of shoes imported by Brazil, while Argentina produced 8.8%.
