Texon launches eco-friendly insoling
In response to demand from major footwear brands, Texon International recently launched its Texon EcoSole 100, a light-weight, ecological, cellulose insoling material, which minimises the impact on the environment whilst offering the same level of comfort.
Texon EcoSole 100 is a natural fibre, created from 100% recycled fibres with no added dyes or harmful chemicals. The natural fibre construction wicks perspiration away from the foot and dries quickly. It has a neutral pH level and is treated with Texon ProTex, a treatment to resist fungal growth and prevent skin irritations.
The soling is available in a range of gauges (1.0 mm - 2.0 mm) and is computer guided in production to guarantee consistency in product quality. According to the company, its outstanding bonding properties mean that it can be used with all outsole materials in cement lasted construction, and is dimensionally stable to allow unrestricted wiper movement when pressure is applied.
Texon develops performance structural component solutions for the global footwear industry, apparel and accessories market and for specialised products in the automotive, hygiene, medical, construction, agrotextile and geotextile sectors.
