US-based designer of sandals and footbeds Moszkito, Inc. is about to launch a new flip-flop sandal, the Archy, which is said to be the first sandal to target young individuals seeking comfort and style - thanks to its firm and cushiony 16-mm arch support.

According to founder and president of Moszkito, Laurin Fox, 75% of people complain of foot pain at some point in their lifetime and that better choices in footwear can go a long way in rectifying the problem.

"Today consumers want footwear that looks cool and can help prevent future pain," said Fox. "Moszkito products help distribute weight more evenly and improve alignment of the ankles, knees and hips in a manner that can ease leg and back discomfort, fatigue or worse."

All of the Moszkito styles, including the Archy, and a range of Moszkito footbeds, are designed to provide support, offering over 100 foot shapes and 26 models.
