Tie-up with Assomac no mere formality, ACCAL says
The Association of Footwear Chambers of Latin America (ACCAL) is optimistic about achieving positive results from a partnership with footwear and leather machinery manufacturers in Italy.
ACCAL president, Daniel Risafi, has said he is confident his association and Italian machinery manufacturers’ body Assomac can work well together.
Speaking at the Simac-Tanning Tech event in Milan in mid-September, Mr Risafi said: “Today, Latin America represents the second-biggest hub in the world for footwear manufacturing. Our collaboration with Assomac is more than a mere formality for us. We want to transform our ambitions into real projects. Italian companies have the technology, the experience and the know-how. Latin America has the production capacity.”
The national footwear associations of 12 countries, Guatemala, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, El Salvador and Nicaragua, make up ACCAL.
