Leather exhibition Lineapelle, leather technology event Tanning Tech and its footwear technology counterpart Simac all opened in Milan on September 15. 

They overlapped for one day with finished footwear exhibition Micam and leathergoods exhibition Mipel. 

At the opening ceremony for Simac and Tanning Tech, the president of industry association Assomac, Mauro Bergozza, said the two fairs provided “a privileged platform” for presenting Italian machinery and technology to the international market. 

He said the shows also offered “a space for dialogue and for encountering ideas”.
