Schuh names new president
US-based footwear retailing group Genesco has appointed Tomas Petersson as president of Schuh, its UK youth-focused footwear retail business, succeeding Colin Temple, who is retiring after 38 years with the company.
Mr Petersson joins schuh from Foot Locker, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, EMEA. He has also held senior roles with Foot Locker’s premium sneaker business atmos, as well as positions with Intersport and Puma.
He will join Schuh in late July and work alongside Mr Temple during the transition period. Colin Temple, who became president of Schuh 15 years ago, helped strengthen the retailer’s omnichannel capabilities, brand partnerships and position in the UK footwear market.
Mr Petersson said he plans to build on Schuh’s foundations, focusing on growth, footwear strategy and customer experience.
