Stratégies releases Romans CAD update
French software company Stratégies has released Romans CAD(RCS) 2026 – V16, a major update to its CAD and PDM platform for footwear and leather goods manufacturers.
The new version aims to support faster time-to-market and stricter sustainability requirements by enhancing 3D/2D integration, precision pattern engineering, and material efficiency.
Key features of V16 include real-time 3D-to-2D pattern synchronisation, parametric drafting tools, an upgraded rendering engine with metallic PBR workflows, and the new RCS Bag 3D–2D module for leather goods prototyping. Enhanced nesting and cutting tools now consider left/right foot geometry and vision-assisted skin detection, while a redesigned workspace improves usability for both small-scale artisans and industrial production teams.
RCS 2026 – V16 is designed to unify the product development process, shorten design cycles and support more sustainable production practices.
