Footwear research and testing body SATRA has awarded gold-level accreditation to the in-house testing laboratory that foam materials developer OrthoLite runs at its factory in Ambur in India.

OrthoLite said this is the first time a laboratory in India has achieved this level of accreditation from SATRA.

Chief executive, Glenn Barrett, said the achievement underscored the company’s commitment “to precision, accountability and world-class testing standards”.

He added: “Our brand partners rely on verified performance data to make critical product decisions. This accreditation confirms that the data we provide meets rigorous standards for accuracy and transparency.”

OrthoLite is part of the Coats Group’s footwear division.
