Nike has announced a series of leadership changes. CEO, Elliott Hill, said “having geography general managers at the table” is helping the company to “move faster”.

Nike’s vice-president of Europe, Carl Grebert, is retiring and will be replaced by César García. Mr Grebert has worked at Nike since 1997. For his part, Mr García has also clocked up many years at the brand, joining 25 years ago.

Elsewhere, Angela Dong, who leads the business in China, is to leave Nike at the end of March. She will be replaced by Cathy Sparks, another 25-year Nike veteran, who started as a store athlete at Niketown in Portland and has gone on to lead teams across every geography.

Cristin Campbell, currently vice-president for the Nike brand in Asia Pacific and Latin America, is to become an interim vice-president of the brand and part of its senior leadership team.
