Slim High-Performance Insole by BMZ and Evoco
Japanese orthopaedic insole manufacturer BMZ has partnered with Evoco to produce a slim insole using BMZ’s Ashi-Tore system, which targets the cuboid bone to influence mobility, balance, and joint support.
Evoco developed a custom foam using its FATES Bio-Foam platform, formulated to provide elasticity, compression recovery, and structural stability in a slim profile.
The material is compatible with BMZ’s existing manufacturing processes, allowing a transition from prototype to national retail launch, supported by Japanese broadcast promotions.
The foam is USDA, EuroFins, GreenCircle, and HIGG Index-certified, contains up to 72% plant-based content, and has a reported carbon impact up to 70% lower than conventional PU materials.
The collaboration demonstrates that BMZ’s biomechanical design can be implemented in a thinner insole format using Evoco’s Bio-Foam technology.
