Footwear acceleration at Salomon boosts Amer Sports

Helsinki-based group Amer Sports has reported revenues of $2.7 billion for the first six months of 2025. This is an increase of 23.4% compared to the same period last year.

Sales of technical apparel brought in almost $1.2 billion, a rise of 26% year on year, while the figure for the category it calls outdoor performance was $916.1 million, an increase of 29%.

Amer’s third category, ball and racket sports, brought in $620 million, an increase of 11% compared to the first six months of 2024.

The group’s brands include Arc’teryx, Salomon, Wilson, Peak Performance and Atomic.

Chief executive, James Zheng, singled out “footwear acceleration” at Salomon, and continued momentum at Arc’teryx as particular highlights in an all-round strong performance.
