New footwear era at Under Armour
Sports group Under Armour has launched a new footwear collection called Halo. It has described the collection as being “built for the everyday athlete”, but also as a set of products that represent “a design shift” at the Baltimore-based brand.

It said that, with Halo, it was “stepping into a new era of footwear”. For the first time, the brand’s double-arch logo is more than just a badge, but is integrated into the design and has become part of the shoes’ structure.

The shoes also incorporate proprietary Hovr foam for energy return and impact absorption.

There are three models in the Halo collection: Racer, Trainer and Runner.

Under Armour’s founder and chief executive, Kevin Plank, said the brand’s logo had always been a symbol of balance and symmetry. “With Halo, we are taking that idea further than ever before,” he added. “For the first time, our identity is embedded into the very structure of the shoe. It’s an exciting step forward.”
