Caleres completes acquisition of Stuart Weitzman

US footwear group Caleres has finalised its acquisition of the Stuart Weitzman brand from Tapestry, Inc. for a total of $120.2 million.

This figure includes $11.5 million in cash paid at closing, with the net purchase price, excluding cash, amounting to $108.7 million, subject to final working capital adjustments.

Originally announced in February 2025, the deal strengthens Caleres’ luxury portfolio, which includes brands such as Famous Footwear, Sam Edelman, Allen Edmonds, Naturalizer and Vionic.

Caleres has appointed Jonathan Lelonek as president of the Stuart Weitzman brand. Lelonek, who joined the company in 2012, previously served as SVP of global wholesale and has held senior roles at Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Paul Frank.

Stuart Weitzman, which generated sales of around $220 million over the past 12 months, maintains a strong presence in North America, Europe and Asia. Caleres plans to return the brand to profitability following a period of integration during the current fiscal year.
