Xtep India, operated by Virisa Sports, plans to expand its presence through both retail and online channels, while also boosting local manufacturing with a new facility in Odisha.

The company aims for 24% sales growth in 2025–2026, following a 53% rise last year.

Virisa Sports, a joint venture between Vijay Chowdhary and Xtep, holds exclusive rights for the Chinese brand in India. It plans to grow its store network from over 100 exclusive brand outlets (EBOs) to 200 EBOs and 500 multi-brand outlets within five years.

Around 45% of sales are expected to come from online platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra, alongside Xtep’s own website. The company is increasing domestic production to meet import regulations, with 20% of apparel made locally and footwear assembled in India from imported components.

Xtep’s strategy focuses on mid-premium products, running shoes and India-specific branding, while also testing lower-priced products for rapid commerce distribution.
