Carbitex partners with Prabos for military boots
US carbon fibre composites supplier Carbitex has moved into the military and tactical footwear category through a new collaboration with Czech manufacturer Prabos.
Prabos will introduce Carbitex’s MonoFlex M1 technology into its professional tactical boot range. According to the partners, the material offers stability and protection without the weight and stiffness commonly associated with military and law enforcement footwear.
Carbitex vice-president of global sales, Filippo Sartor, said the partnership marked an important step into a demanding market. “As an innovator, we truly believe Prabos is the right choice for Carbitex,” he commented.
Juraj Vozár, chief executive of Prabos Plus a.s., said the collaboration would help bring a new level of comfort and performance to fast-movement footwear for military personnel. He added that Carbitex’s technology could also find applications across the company’s wider tactical and outdoor footwear collections.
