The spring edition of the Functional Fabric Fair in Portland takes place from April 14 to 16, at the Oregon Convention Centre. The event’s key topic for the year, “Certifications: Which Ones Matter?” pursues the discussion first launched at Performance Days in Munich last month.

Show organisers RX have announced 300 exhibitors showcasing their innovations for the Spring/Summer 2026 and 2027 seasons.

The pre-show Sustainability Workshop, facilitated by Jill Dumain, founding partner of Fractals CSOs, includes a presentation by bluesign director for global brand services Kevin Myette on “Reducing the Health Impacts of Solvents in Manufacturing” and “Sustainability impacts in Apparel & Footwear” by consultants Todd Copeland and Eric Brody.

Expert talks include colour trends by Nora Kühner and a panel talk on how to communicate to consumers the performances and features of non-PFAS performance outerwear, by Hohenstein managers Jan Beringer and Tim Sherry.

“With sustainability at the forefront of our priorities, our enhanced educational programming reflects our commitment to driving meaningful change and innovation in textile development,” commented Steve McCullough, Event Director of Functional Fabric Fair.
