Desma House Fair highlights innovation
The Desma House Fair 2024 began today, welcoming almost 800 guests and 56 international co-exhibitors, marking a return to pre-Covid visitor levels. Klaus Freese and Christian Decker, Desma’s Managing Directors, opened the event, highlighting the theme “Pioneering Together”, emphasising collaboration to address industry challenges.
Timed a week after major footwear shows in Milan, the fair has attracted many overseas visitors extending their European trips.
This year’s focus is on advancements in automation, AI, and SCF technology, enabling the production of ultra-light soles. Alongside live demonstrations, the event includes presentations and discussions to foster industry innovation.
The next edition, to be held in 2026, will mark the 10th anniversary of the fair and coincide with Desma’s 80th anniversary celebrations.
