Desma to present new SCF technology at House Fair 2024
Footwear machinery group Desma will showcase its new SCF (Super Critical Foaming) technology at its House Fair in Achim on 24-25 September 2024.
The event will bring together over 800 industry professionals and 50 international co-exhibitors to explore advancements in footwear manufacturing.
Desma's SCF technology introduces an eco-friendly process for producing lightweight, high-performance TPU soles. This technique uses nitrogen or CO2 to create a microcellular foam without chemical agents, enhancing impact absorption and reducing material waste. According to Managing Director Christian Decker, "The advantages of this manufacturing system are a highly sensitive process control which results in homogeneous components with an even surface as well as cost effectiveness and the fact that the entire plant can be scaled up or down."
The fair will also highlight the companies particle dosing unit for sustainable production, advanced automation solutions, and customisation tools powered by artificial intelligence.
Desma’s innovations aim to boost efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and support the trend towards personalised footwear.
