Yue Yuen impresses at investor awards
Footwear manufacturer Yue Yuen has won eight awards – including Best Annual Report and Grand Environmental, Social, Governance Award - at the HKIRA 10th Investor Relations Awards, which includes companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
A total of 120 companies participated in the awards, with votes cast by 480 investors, analysts and fund managers from 280 financial institutions.
Yue Yuen, which makes shoes for brands including New Balance and adidas, said it “remains committed to communicating with investors regarding its ongoing manufacturing excellence and smart factory strategy, the core values that are leading its sustainable profitability, and corporate social responsibility efforts”.
Since 2022, the group has been following the framework recommended by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures for climate risk management, expanding the use of green energy and improving energy efficiency, with the aim of achieving a 46% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to the 2019 baseline year.
The HKIRA is a non-profit association that advocates the setting of international standards in investor relations and advances best IR practices.
