02/07/2024
This ranking highlights the top 500 global companies for their leadership in social and environmental responsibility, with Ferragamo being one of only 20 Italian companies included.
In 2024, Ferragamo achieved significant milestones in sustainability. The company earned a "Score A-" in the CDP Climate Change 2023 questionnaire and was named a Sustainability Leader by Il Sole 24 Ore and Statista for the third consecutive year. Additionally, 92.8% of its leathers were sourced from Leather Working Group certified tanneries, and 82% of its energy came from renewable sources. Ferragamo was also re-included in the MIB ESG Euronext index, which recognizes the top 40 Italian companies for their ESG practices.
Ferragamo expressed gratitude to everyone involved in these accomplishments and reaffirmed its commitment to leading in sustainable luxury.
TIME and Statista have introduced a rigorous methodology to rank the world’s most sustainable companies for 2024. Criteria include commitments to climate programs like the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and high scores from CDP. Evaluation also considers Scope 1 and 2 emissions, energy consumption, recent emissions reductions, and the use of renewable energy. Key emphasis is placed on companies integrating sustainability into their business models.
