Elvis's iconic shoes at auction
Elvis Presley's iconic blue suede shoes are expected to fetch up to £120,000 ($150,000)  at auction. The footwear, worn by the legendary singer both on and off stage during the 1950s, is being auctioned by Henry Aldridge & Son in the UK.

Presley, known as the king of rock and roll, notably wore the size 10.5 shoes during his appearance on the Steve Allen television show, where he performed "Hound Dog." He acquired the shoes after performing "Blue Suede Shoes" by Carl Perkins on his debut album. Presley later gave the shoes to his friend and branch manager, Alan Fortas, before joining the American army.

Auctioneer Andrew Aldridge highlighted the cultural significance of the shoes, describing them as "an exceptional piece of showbusiness, music, and popular culture memorabilia." The shoes have been authenticated by Jimmy Velvet, a close friend of Presley and an expert on the singer, and have been displayed in various museums over the years
