Footwear brand Scarpa is one of the sponsors of “a hiking and storytelling project” in northern Italy this summer, Va’ Sentiero. The project’s name means ‘hit the trail’.

There will be two main events, starting with a three-day tour of the Monti Sibillini in the Apennines. Then, towards the end of the summer, there will be a three- or four-day trek on Il Sentiero della Pace in the Dolomites.

Scarpa has said it hopes participants will share videos and photographs from these events to contribute to the storytelling part of the project.

The organisers have said that anyone with a good level of fitness can take part and that they hope as many people as possible will sign up.
