Profit surge for Apex Footwear

Apex Footwear Ltd, a prominent leather footwear manufacturer in Bangladesh, has reported a notable 29 percent year-on-year increase in profit, totalling Tk 1.68 crore ($148,000) for the January-March quarter of the current fiscal year. This achievement marks a significant improvement from the corresponding period last year when the company recorded a profit of Tk 1.26 crore ($114,600).

According to the unaudited financial statement, Apex Footwear Ltd witnessed a 9.3 percent surge in revenue, reaching Tk 394.89 crore ($35.9 million) in the third quarter of 2023-24, compared to Tk 361.21 crore ($32.8 million) in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

However, despite this quarterly success, Apex experienced a decline in profit for the period spanning July to March of the fiscal year 2023-24. The profit decreased by 22 percent to Tk 6.27 crore ($570,500) from Tk 8.03 crore ($730,700) in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
