Dr Martens doubles down on sustainability

Moreover, the company has introduced a trade-in program at two of its retail locations in Los Angeles and Portland. Under this program, customers can exchange their used Dr Martens products for a discount voucher that they can use to buy a new pair of boots.
In another announcement, Dr Martens launched its Genix Nappa range on March 26. This range features a new material created in partnership with GenPhoenix. The material is made from fibres obtained from reclaimed leather offcuts that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill. The new material contains at least 50% leather waste and is made by a process that separates the leather fibres before re-entangling them to create a roll of re-engineered, reclaimed material.
