Footwear group Bata has announced its membership of the Leather Working Group (LWG). 

The company stated that the collaboration fulfilled it aims to adopt cleaner solutions and reduce chemicals, optimise energy usage, and mitigate water pollution.

Bata also said it had partnered the LWG to enhance its environmental impact, recognising fashion’s contribution to soil degradation and biodiversity loss. The company focuses on mitigating environmental impacts in its supply chain, while supporting regenerative agricultural practices for a sustainable future.
