Mallorca-based footwear brand Camper is one of the first to adopt a new tracing system from fibre group Lenzing.

This involves the use of a new physical fibre tracer in the uppers of a Camper shoe and of a new certification system that goes with it. Lenzing has developed the fibre tracer and the certification system itself.

The Camper shoes have a minimalist-style mini hang-tag attached to one of the eyelets with a printed QR code. Consumers can scan the code and receive instant verification that the shoes are genuine, which is to say that they really are from Camper and that the uppers really do contain Lenzing’s Tencel lyocell fibre.
