Tanners may turn away from Pakistan Mega Leather Show
Reports from Pakistan suggest the country’s main representative body for leather manufacturers, the Pakistan Tanners’ Association (PTA), has decided not to continue its co-leadership of the Pakistan Mega Leather Show.
It shared organiser responsibilities for the nine edition of the event, which closed in Lahore on January 28, with the Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers’ Association.
After the event, there were unconfirmed comments from the PTA suggesting that this may have been its last time as co-organiser. Instead, it may seek to launch a new event in Karachi in 2025, the Pakistan Footwear Materials Show, with April 11-13 as the proposed dates.
The Pakistan Footwear Manufacturers’ Association may continue to host the Lahore event on its own.
