Fall in revenues of 20% likely for BASF

Preliminary results for 2023 suggest chemicals group BASF achieved revenues €68.9 billion.
The group will confirm its results on February 23, but this preliminary figure would represent a fall of more than 20% compared to 2022.
It mentioned lower sales margins, fixed costs and unplanned plant shutdowns among the reasons for the fall.
