December fair will celebrate Bogotá district’s footwear heritage

Bogotá’s chamber of commerce has invited producers of footwear, leather and leathergoods to take part in a special fair to celebrate the work of local artisans.

The event will take place in the Restrepo district in the south of the Colombian capital from December 4-10.

In a statement, the chamber of commerce said its aim was to bring buyers from the region around Bogotá and beyond to Restrepo to learn more about leather, shoes and leather accessories.

It pointed out that Restrepo is home to a large number of footwear and leather workshops and businesses.
