New president to join Sorel in December
US clothing and footwear business Columbia Sportswear Company has appointed Cory Long (pictured), a former global manager and chief global merchant of DC Shoes, president of its Sorel brand.

Mr Long has previously served in leadership roles at shoe brands Asics, Supra and Converse. He replaces Mark Nenow, who stepped down on health grounds in June, and will join Sorel in December.

Senior vice-president for emerging brands, Craig Zanon, said the group was delighted to welcome the senior executive to its team. “His strength of leadership and consumer-champion mindset will be key in fuelling the next era of Sorel growth," Mr Zanon commented.
