Another brand turns its back on kangaroo leather

Sports footwear brand New Balance has revised its sourcing policies and has announced that it will phase out its use of kangaroo skins. It will discontinue the sale of footwear made from kangaroo leather by December 2024.

It made this decision following similar announcements from Nike and Puma earlier this year.
