Ten years on, 83% of ADC start-ups are still in business

Incubator body for leather-sector start-ups in France Au Delà du Cuir (ADC) celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2023.

Marking the milestone, chief executive, Virginie Trento, has said 83% of the start-ups that ADC has helped to launch in the last ten years are still in business. In total, she said 76 of the companies ADC has helped are active today.

In this group, there are more than 40 footwear companies, with the rest devoting themselves to creating leathergoods. Ms Trento said they employ directly a combined total of 400 people and achieved combined revenues of €46 million in 2022.
