Apple sneakers up for auction
Auctioneers Sotheby’s are listing a pair of “new” Apple inc sneakers for $50,000.
More renowned for their technology products, the tech giants had the sneakers custom made for their employees, and were used as giveaways at national sales conferences in the mid 90’s. This particular pair was never released to the public.
Featuring a white leather upper and original rainbow apple logo on the side and tongue, the sneakers are listed as in new condition but with the caveat that they are “consistent with age” and that imperfections include yellowing around the midsoles and glue, and light marks on the toe boxes.
