Elda footwear technology conference set for July 12

Shoe manufacturing town Elda, in the province of Alicante, will host a footwear technology conference on July 12.
The one-day event, Calzatic, will take place in the José María Amat Amer Footwear Museum in the town.
It will include keynote presentations on the use of new technology in footwear manufacturing and on what the shoe industry can do to exploit artificial intelligence.
There will also be roundtable discussions involving senior figures representing shoe brands and technology providers.
Regional footwear industry body Avecal and the regional government of Valencia are the organisers, while digital technology developer Clavei will sponsor the event.
