Coats, Texon and Rhenoflex unite under Coats Footwear
UK industrial threadmaker Coats, owner of shoe components and materials developers Texon and Rhenoflex since last summer, has announced Coats Footwear, a new, dedicated division which unites the technical know-how of all three under a single roof.
The business will supply 450-plus products for footwear assembly, from insoles through to upper materials, threads and integral structural components, including branded solutions such as CoatsKnit, Nylbond, EcoVerde, ProWeave, Powerflex, Cyclea, Rhenoprint, Verde and Vogue.
Collectively, it employs over 17,000 individuals globally and counts in excess of 34,000 companies among its customers, with operations extending over 50 countries.
“With three world-class businesses now working seamlessly together, we are stepping up our offer, giving our customers an unequalled combination of expertise, innovation and product,” said Coats Footwear chief executive, Frederic Verague. “Through our technologically diverse product portfolio, we can cater to both and future trends, setting new standards in the process.
“Where once we were competitors, we are now colleagues – united in our passion for turning customer ideas into a reality and accelerating sustainability.”
