Footwear components developer Stanbee has appointed David Hapeman as its new director of sales for North America. He will be based in the company’s Portland office and report directly to chief executive, Michael Berkson.

Mr Hapeman was, most recently, general manager for the north-west for Coats Footwear, working with brands including Texon and Rhenoflex. Before that, he served on a number of leadership teams at Nike.

Speaking of the appointment, Michael Berkson said it would help Stanbee grow its global presence and continue to expand its line of sustainable products, which includes the Nitro Force heel counters and toe boxes, which are made from at least 85% recycled plastic bottles.
