Nike nine-month results show 11% growth
Athletic apparel and footwear group Nike has reported revenues of $38.4 billion for the first nine months of its current financial year, the period ending February 28. This figure represents an increase of 11% year on year.
Sales of Nike-branded products contributed $36.5 billion towards the total, with $1.8 billion coming from sales of Converse products and the rest from foreign exchange transactions and other corporate activities. Sales growth of Converse products was 5%.
Among Nike products, footwear contributed $24.6 billion in revenues over the nine-month period, growing by 16% year on year.
Apparel brought in $10.6 billion, up by 3%, and equipment almost $1.3 billion, up by 5%.
