Nouvelle-Aquitaine to recruit 2,000 new leather-sector employees

An industry organisation in south-west France has laid out plans to attract more than 2,000 new employees to the leather sector in the next three years.
ResoCuir, an industry cluster for the region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, has said there are job opportunities across the whole leather supply chain, including in footwear production, tanneries and in the production of leathergoods, equestrian equipment and other products.
The region has the highest number of leather-sector businesses in France, with 92 companies, which already employ 4,700 people.
