Footwear and Leathergoods lead the way for Italy in South Korea
Italy’s international trade promotions agency ITA has said the country’s leathergoods are the number-one category in exports to South Korea.
ITA has said it expects exports to South Korea to show growth of 4.4% when the full-year figures are confirmed. Official figures for the first nine months of 2022 suggest that Italy exported products worth €2 billion.
The agency has said leathergoods commands a 21% share of this total and is the number-one category among all the Made In Italy products that consumers in South Korea want to buy. ITA said growth for Italian leathergoods exports to the Asian country will show growth of 5.5% compared to 2021.
Second, with growth of 1.4% year on year, is footwear.
