Bio-responsive material powers energy-return in UA shoes
Sports brand Under Armour has used Celliant to endow the lining in its Hovr Machina 2 SE women’s running shoes with energy-return functionality.
Celliant uses a blend of bioceramic minerals embedded into textiles to convert body heat into infrared energy, returning the energy to the wearer’s body. This, in turn, helps improve circulation and cellular oxygenation.
Using the material in shoes will also help improve endurance and keep the wearer’s feet at a comfortable temperature.
