Growth for Stella International, but headwinds remain
Footwear group Stella International has reported revenues of just over $1.25 billion for the first nine months of 2022.
Over this period, it shipped a total volume of 44.1 million pairs of shoes and boots.
Compared to the same period last year, these figures represent growth of 13% in terms of value and of 6.5% in volume.
The average selling price per pair rose too, from $27 in the first three quarters of 2021, to $28.60 in the same period this year.
Commenting on the latest figures, the group’s chief executive, Chi Lo-Jen, said Stella’s “margin expansion strategy” would continue, but warned: “Macroeconomic headwinds, particularly covid-19 related lockdowns in China that are impacting consumer demand, will continue to weigh on the confidence of some of our customers.”
