Pakistan’s footwear industry, which employs more than a million workers, got off to a flying start for the 2022-2023 fiscal year.

In the first two months of the financial year, July and August 2022, shoe manufacturers in Pakistan exported more than 1.8 million pairs of leather shoes with a value of $28 million.

These figures represent an increase of 40% in volume and of 22% in value compared to the same period in 2021.
