Shoe upper knitting will be on show from Shima Seiki in Brazil

Flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki will take part in the 2022 Febratex textile industry fair in Brazil. The event will run in the city of Blumenau in Santa Catarina state from August 23-26.

On display will be the latest machines in the Japanese technology provider’s Wholegarment system. 

Its MACH2XS series, for example, features the company’s SlideNeedle technology on four needle beds and a spring-type sinker system. And the SVR123SP, which features a special loop presser bed and is capable of producing unique woven-like hybrid fabrics as well as technical textiles, will also be on show.

To demonstrate the versatility of the SVR123SP, Shima Seiki will display its ability to knit shoe uppers.
