LWG to host member conference in Milan
For the first time in three years, the Leather Working Group will hold its Member Conference as an in-person event. It will take place on September 22 in Milan at the Rho exhibition venue. September 22 is the third day of the Simac-Tanning Tech and Lineapelle events at the same venue.
Key themes for the conference are continuous improvement, traceability, supply chain due diligence, environmental impact, and responsible chemistry.
Speakers will include Andreas Meyer, managing director of German Leather Federation, VDL, and Fernando Bellese, chief sustainability officer of leather manufacturing group PrimeAsia. The same group’s vice-president for procurement, Ian Scher, and the head of sustainability at leathergoods brand Mulberry, Rosie Wollacott-Phillips, will also speak.
